A new monthly creative hang at DAL! Part studio time, part clubhouse, part community space. Bring your own project (sketchbook, clay, iPad, fibre arts, whatever you’re into), settle in, and create alongside other artists in a relaxed, social, come-and-go environment.
Think: a chatty study hall… but for creatives.

Grab your friends (or make new ones!) and join us for a chill evening of games, laughs, and community. Bring your favorite board or card game, or play from our collection.
This event is queer-led and queer-friendly, and allies are always welcome!

Arty Party!
Arty Party is a fun, monthly drop-in event for young artists ages 4-14! Designed like an open studio, kids can choose to work on a guided project provided by our instructor or dive into their own creative ideas.
Cost: $10 for members | $12 for non-members
Parents can pre-register or pay at the door.
Bring your little artists for an evening of creativity!
*Supplies provided, but attendees are welcome to bring their own for personal projects.
Free Your Pen
Join us on 2nd Tuesday of each month for a free free-write session! This monthly event is facilitated by award winning poet Kari Ebert, who provides attendees with creative prompts to exercise their writing skills. This is an environment free of judgement - all levels are welcome!

Drawing Club!
Welcome to Drawing Club, a creative hangout for young artists! Kids are invited to join this monthly open-studio session where imagination leads the way. With a super loose structure, artists can sketch, experiment, share ideas, and be inspired by the creativity around them. Guided by Ms. Elana, Drawing Club offers a supportive space to explore personal projects, try new techniques, and build confidence through making art. We’ll also welcome occasional guest artists who will drop in to share tips, tricks, and drawing skills.
Come draw, connect, and create with friends!

Art Swap!
The Art & Art Supply Swap is back for 2026!
Join us during Dover Days on May 2nd (11am–3pm) for a free, community-centered event full of art, materials, and inspiration. Contribute items from your collection that are no longer inspiring you (homemade or store-bought) and browse through others' donations for your next piece of art and/or materials!
Donations accepted starting April 15th @ the DAL anytime during open hours.

Pots to the People!
Pots to the People is a community-centered fundraiser that brings handmade pottery into downtown while supporting the Dover Art League’s pottery studio. Hosted at Rail Haus, the event features cups and goblets created and donated by DAL students and artists. Through shared making and community support, it helps sustain and grow the studio for everyone.
For $35, choose your favorite handmade pottery piece and receive a complimentary drink ticket. Experience live pottery demos and satisfy your curiosities about ceramics. We’ll be there to guide you and chat about all things DAL. You can even get your hands on some clay!
